As part of efforts to strengthen ties with the community and monitor local economic conditions, Sertu F. Hasibuan, a Village Supervisory Non-Commissioned Officer (Babinsa) from Koramil 04/Bendahara, conducted a social communication (Komsos) activity with a basic commodities shop owner in Mesjid Sungai Iyu Village, Bendahara District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, on Thursday (June 18, 2026).
The visit was carried out in a friendly atmosphere, allowing the Babinsa to engage directly with local traders regarding the availability of essential goods and the latest developments in staple food prices at the traditional market. Discussions also covered the security and public order situation within the community.
According to Sertu F. Hasibuan, social communication activities are part of the routine duties of territorial officers aimed at obtaining firsthand information about the social and economic conditions of local residents.
“By visiting the community directly, we can monitor the development of basic commodity prices while also listening to the concerns of residents, especially small business owners, so that solutions can be sought together,” he said.
The shop owner expressed appreciation for the Babinsa’s attention and continued presence in the community, noting that such visits help strengthen relations between residents and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).
“With visits like this, we feel cared for and supported. It also brings the community closer to the TNI,” the shop owner said.
Through activities such as these, Babinsa personnel continue to play an active role in maintaining close communication with residents while monitoring economic conditions and promoting community welfare.
